Indian Olympiad Exams are national-level scholarship program conducted throughout India and also on the International level. These are competitive exams, which helps talented Indian students to get a scholarship and make them ready for future competitive exams in life. These are the cornerstones of Indian School System, as it helps to find out talented students, who are not from economically stable families.

There are Olympiad examinations of different classes and different subjects such as International English Olympiad which are mainly conducted by NGOs. These exams are taken on a school-based syllabus for each class. There are also Olympiads conducted by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, which directly connects with the international Olympiads.

Syllabus of the exams

Different NGOs take these exams for different subjects. Subjects vary from Math, English, Science, Computer science, General Knowledge to Social Sciences, Reasoning and Aptitude and Informatics, etc. This Exam is taken from class 1 to 10 individually.

The exam is mainly based on multiple-choice questions. They mainly concern the Board-certified syllabus of the individual class. Class 1 and Class 2 can participate on the national level, and from class 3 selected students are allowed to sit on the International level Olympiad Exams.

Now coming to the Olympiad Centers conducted by HBCSE; they conduct it from class 1 to 12. They have two exams- Science Olympiads and Mathematics Olympiads. These exams are taken based on Board Certified Syllabus of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Junior Science, Physics and, Mathematics. They are conducted once a year and have several stages. If a student clears all the stages, they are sent to the International level.
